Ever scroll down your newsfeed and think that a certain photo or post is trying to speak to you?  That's exactly what the WCA hopes their SueB 5K social media campaign will do for women in abusive relationships and friends who care about them.

The SueB 5K marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Sunday, October 2nd.  The annual run/walk is meant to honor Susan Elaine Brubaker Newby and spread domestic violence awareness.  Sue's friends didn't recognize that she was likely in an abusive of marriage until it was too late to help her.

How did they miss the signs? Because not all signs of abuse in relationships are visible to the naked eye.  The WCA is using these images on Facebook and Instagram in conjunction with the SueB 5K to help teach friends and family what to look for.
