...and it's delicious!

Before our friend Zach and his crew opened the Black Rock Coffee Bar location on Broadway, I had no idea which one of the empty buildings was going to be Black Rock.  There was a new building on both sides of Popeyes so I was confused (which is the state of my life anyway.)  The Broadway Black Rock opened in November, but I still didn't have any idea what the other building was supposed to be.

Well the sign is up and now we know! According to the Idaho Statesman, Jersey Mike's Subs is opening their 2nd location in Boise on April 12th. The New Jersey sub chain makes cold subs with cappacuolo, prosciuttini, turkey bacon and more.  If you're like me and don't have a huge taste for cold subs, they've got hot subs too like the Jersey Mike's Famous Philly, Chicken Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken Parm and BBQ Beef. Wraps and kid's meals are also on the menu.

Jersey Mike's is also is also known around the country for their "Month of Giving" campaign.  Every March, Jersey Mike's locations partner with a charity in their neighborhood and collect donations all month long.  It's all a build up to their "Day of Giving" where the store donates an incredible 100% of it's profits to that charity that day.

Unfortunately, this location won't be open in time for the "Day of Giving" on March 29th, so it'll collect donations for Make-A-Wish Idaho during it's opening week.

Jersey Mike's joins not just Black Rock but Freddy's, Pizza Hut, Tap & Cask, Popeyes and Noodles & Co that have all opened on Broadway over the last couple of years.
