Small Business Saturday started just five years ago to promote shopping local and supporting businesses in our community. In highlighting local, our communities are making money. Like, a significant amount!

We have an entire list of all Small Business Saturday deals right HERE (and at the bottom of this page). Supporting local keeps the Treasure Valley the incredibly unique place we call home.

It might be me camping out to be one of the first 50 people in line at the Record Exchange so I can get a limited gift card and then hustle over to Lit + Co. for an Awesome Box. Don't know what that is? Oh. My. Gosh. Go!

Small Business Saturday was introduced in 2010 by American Express. Since that time, there's been a 16 percent increase in shopping local which means $2.9 billion spent. TWO POINT NINE BILLION spent on local businesses!

Let's take a look at the value of shopping local. Let's say you spend $100. For every $100 spent $68 stays in our community. That's $25 more staying in the Treasure Valley. See? It's totally worth it!

Now that we've shared all these stats, how on earth could we resist shopping local? The only decision we need to make is where to start!
