Whatever You Do, Do NOT Set Your iPhone Back To 1970

Seriously, if you love your iPhone even just a little bit you will NOT try this trick.

This image started making it's way across social media over President's Day weekend and now thousands of gullible iPhone users are looking at a "brick" instead of a smart phone.

Surprise, surprise...the post is a hoax and will NOT actually give you a retro Macintosh logo.  It instead will "brick" your iPhone.  Yes, you'd be safe to assume that "bricking" your phone does exactly what it sounds like.  It turns your phone into an unusable brick and unfortunately, not even a trip to the Genius Bar at Boise Towne Square will bring your phone back to life.

Apple is working on a fix for the bug in an upcoming software update, but until then don't believe everything you read on the internet.
