Boise State University will not close the campus - regardless of how many people say it's a "snow day".  There's a reason and we can't blame them for it.

The letter covers reasons why the Boise State campus remains open despite the dangerous road conditions and severe weather. The AVP of Human Resources, Jay Stevens says:

The university can never fully “close,” because university operations include many events, functions and business operations that range beyond traditional classroom learning. Students live and eat on campus (some even during winter and other breaks), outside events are scheduled and services must be delivered to incoming and existing students.

That all being said, it doesn't mean that classes are for sure in session. Students and employees are encouraged to be flexible with the “safety of Boise State’s students and employees will always be foremost in making the decision to postpone/cancel classes or close operations.”
