WINE, The Perfect Excuse To Clean Out Your Closet!

I don't want to toot my own horn  but when it came to Valentine's Day dates I knocked it out of the park this year by taking my man to the Idaho Wine region.  Now I'm completely obsessed and found a really cool event going on at Split Rail Winery!

You may have see Split Rail Winery in the Idaho Statesmen's SCENE on Friday or on KTVB last week.  They're the Idaho winery drawing a lot of attention for doing something that I always thought needed to happen...canned wine!  Their La Boheme White Wine was available at the winery's tasting room in Garden City via pre-sale last week and will soon be available to everyone to pack in their coolers for the nice weather to come!  Each can is 12.7 ounces (so bigger than your typical beer can) and packs a 13.3% alcohol punch.  The equivalent of half a bottle of wine will run you around $6!

I'm hoping to get my hands on a can this Thursday night at Split Rail's "Girls in the GC" ladies night!  Each month the winery is holding a themed ladies night event where they run specials on their wines by the glass.  Last month they made personalized Valentine's Cards...this month?  It's all about cleaning out your closet!

Tawsha Box and I are planning to check out their Girls in the GC Clothing Swap at the tasting room at 4338 East Chinden on Thursday night at 6 PM! Ladies are encouraged to bring their too-skinny jeans, never fit me right sweaters, maybe I'll make it into a purse once day, etc clothes to swap over a glass of wine! Clothes should be clean and in like new condition.  Anything that doesn't get claimed will be donated to other women in need through the Women's and Children's Alliance.  Planning on making an evening it?  Bring your own food for dinner!

If you need some cute party dresses, blue jean shorts or polo shirts...I've got you covered with the huge bag of clothes I cleaned out of my closet over the weekend!
