We're known as the City of Trees here in Boise but did you know that adding trees to your property is encouraged?

It has been HOT lately and outdoor activities probably have you seeking some shade. According to Boise's city forester, even though there are 45,000 to 50,000 trees in Boise public parks and streets most of them aren't native to our high desert climate.

In order to stay cool in future hot spells, we can help the city add climate appropriate trees which can help filter pollutants from the air and reduce our storm water runoff.

Not only can you help our local community, but you can reduce your home energy costs by 25 percent according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Hello, savings!
