I have so many pictures of the two of them together that I'm not ashamed to admit my cat's acceptance of my boyfriend contributed to me knowing he was a good guy.  Turns out your pets know who treats you well and who doesn't!

Yup, your dog totally knows when someone's being mean to you.  According to a new study, your dog is likely to avoid someone who refuses to help you when you're in need.  In the study, a dog's owner struggled to open a box while two strangers were nearby.  In the first group one stranger actively refused to help the owner open the box when approached and the other was neutral neither helping or denying help. In a second group, one stranger agreed to help the dog owner while the other was neutral.  Both strangers offered the owner's dog treats after the role playing experiment and the results were surprising!

The dogs would ignore the people who wouldn't help their owner, but had no problem going for treats from the person who did help or were neutral. According to science, it turns out your pet may be a good judge of character after all!

After all...this is the first boyfriend my cat will snuggle with the moment he sits down on the sofa.  He just clawed all my other dudes to death!
