Every time we see "four seasons" as one of the reasons to consider moving to Boise, we can't help but laugh. Those of us who've lived here for a significant amount of time know that statement is completely false.

Yes, in Boise you will experience spring, summer, fall and winter...but you'll experience them in their entirety multiple times in a calendar year. There's been a meme floating around social media for years that spells out Boise's 12 seasons:

  • Winter
  • Fool's Spring
  • Second Winter
  • Spring of Deception
  • Third Winter
  • The Pollening
  • Actual Spring
  • Summer
  • Hell's Front Porch
  • False Fall
  • Second Summer
  • Actual Fall

Last week's morning lows were in the teens. This week's high temps got into the upper 60ºs. Next week's lows are back in the 20ºs, so we're fairly sure that the nice weather we're experiencing right now is indeed the "Spring of Deception."
