Boise Bank Robber – The ‘Double Hat Bandit’ – Finally Apprehended

After knocking off a bank in Boise, amongst many others, authorities finally have the Double Hat Bandit in custody.

The U.S. Bank inside Albertons on State Street was robbed when a man wearing two caps (hence the name) handed a teller a note that read "I have a gun, give me all of your money." The suspect robbed 12 other banks during his spree, which has now come to a close thanks to the FBI.

The suspect has been identified as 54-year-old Shayne Carson, aka the "Double Hat Bandit." He was arrested recently at a motel in Whiteland, Indiana without incident. How did he end up in Indiana? How much money did he end up stealing? Why in the heck was he wearing two hats? We're awaiting answers as the FBI hopes to get them from Carson in the coming days.
