If you're craving a gyro, there's no doubt you've been keeping an eye on the construction in the old Proto's Pizza location in BoDo.  The Greek restaurant moving in is in desperate need of your help!

Meraki Greek Street Food was scheduled to open in early October, but it's owners have found out how exhausting and expensive it is to open their own business.  Between construction costs, launching the branding process online and on social media and covering the necessities for insurance, utilities and payroll, the restaurant has exceeded their start up budget.

So instead of turning to banks for high interest loans, they're turning to the community and trying to raise $7,500 through a Kickstarter campaign. They hope the Treasure Valley will come together to help them serve up hard to find, authentic all natural gyros and other Greek food that's been made with love.

If they reach their goal, they should be open to on time during the first week of October.

There are incentives for different levels of donations ranging from a personalized thank you card, to gift certificates, t-shirts, personalized aprons, Christmas cookies made from the owner's Yia-Yia's recipe, your name engraved on a plaque in the restaurant, Greek catering and more!
