Boise Snubbed; Boise Health Ranking Improves ‘Slightly’ For 2026

Boise is a great city to be in and attracts a lot of people because how awesome everyone is! You often see people falling in love with our city when they come during the Spring and Summer and everyone is outside.

Boise is healthy!

Boise is a really healthy city to live in and you can really tell considering how many people are outside. Last week when Boise was in the 80's it felt like the whole city was getting outside and getting active. There were so many people on the Greenbelt getting out and walking, running, biking, and skateboarding. Not to mention all the people going to downtown Boise to shop and walk around enjoying the beautiful day.

Even when it's not nice out, like in winter, Boise locals head up the mountain to Bogus Basin to get their skiing and snowboarding on.
So if this is the case, then why is Boise ranked differently?

Boise Health Ranking Last Year

Last year Boise felt snubbed and was given... not the best health ranking.

Many cities were featured and considering people in Boise seem very healthy it was a shock to see how low it was. A lot of the time people in Boise are getting very active so to hear that Boise isn't even near the top 10 for healthiest cities to live in in the country it's almost unbelievable.

Last year Boise was ranked 58th healthiest city in America.

Boise Health Ranking This Year

This year Boise's health ranking is slightly better. While still not near the top 10 Boise did move up a few spots this year! Boise is now ranked the 52nd healthiest city in America! See more HERE.
