Really sad situation happening in Pensacola this morning. First reports of the active shooter came across my twitter feed, shortly followed by reports that the shooter was no longer a threat. Here's what we know right now:

A shooter killed at least two victims at a naval air station in Penscaola, Florida, on Friday morning before being shot dead by police.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office confirmed to local news outlet WSBT that a shooter was shot and killed by deputies at the base.

Minutes earlier, Escambia County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Amber Southard told CNN, "I can confirm there is an active shooter on NAS Pensacola and it's going on right now." The U.S. Navy has since confirmed on Twitter that two victims have died, while multiple outlets are reporting that at least 11 people were injured.

The incident comes just two days after an active duty U.S. sailor killed two civilians and injured a third before killing himself at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii.
