On New Years Eve in downtown Boise at StrangeLove, Mikey and I ran up to the second floor of the night club and made it rain dollar bills...HUNDREDS of dollars worth. Was that the most responsible way to spend some cash? No, no it was not. Did the fun last longer than a few minutes? Nope, it sure didn't.

Being financially responsible can be difficult, require a ton of discipline, and often times when it comes to planning, investing, and retirement, can require an amount of knowledge that most of us don't have! What steps have you taken to set yourself up to be in good shape??

Well, for ladies here in the Treasure Valley, the State Financial Officers Foundation is going to be putting on a "Smart Women, Smart Money" conference focused on personal finance and how to get you into a great, comfortable, and smart position with your finances!

The event is going to be held on Valentines Day--that's Friday, February 14th from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon at the Boise Centre. Keynote speakers include the State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth and more-- with everyone focusing on budgeting, reducing your debt, investing, and retirement. We should mention, too, that the conference will provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack-- all with your FREE entry.
