We're one month away from this year's Boise Music Festival and just in time for the official kick-off to summer.

It's Memorial Day Weekend with temperatures hovering mid 80's with Idaho thunderstorms on the way. Thanks, IOWA!

Hot Weather Means Boise Music Festival Time

It's Flashback Friday. Boise Music Festival has given me some really great memories and amazing moments with friends. The first year was so crazy with all the free tickets in the park which caused confusion with our listeners. It was a free show but a ticketed event and a very small gate in Ann Morrison Park. Needless to say, it was both so much fun and extreme mayhem. Take a look at this video and see if you notice people in the trees. There must have been close to 80,000 fans in the park that summer day.

I remember Bret Michaels standing on stage shouting out all his fans because it was the year of Bret. The Poison frontman was finishing up another season of VH-1's "Rock of Love", was recovering from heart surgery, an Oprah special, and being the winner of Celebrity Apprentice.

The Backstreet Boys would CRUSH IT! That was nine years ago and they were a throwback then. Today, the still topical boy band just came off a #1 song with Florida Georgia Line in an emotional song about the women they love most. The boys also have a new song and who knows, you might just see them back one day.

Fast forward to 2018 and we've seen LL Cool J, Jason Derulo, Carly Rae Jepsen (when that song was the most viral song in the world), Nick Jonas, Train, LMFAO, Sean Kingston, Vanilla Ice, Nelly and last year's headliner, Flo Rida.

The artists are great! Train is definitely one of my most memorable performances as they played "Drops of Jupiter" as the sun set on Boise. It was unbelievable. There is no doubt that artists like Baby Bash and Robin Thicke will light it up this year. Country artists like Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr., Parmalee including a very popular Mat Kearney will no disappoint.

You also have the rides, the great food, beer gardens, and atmosphere. It's more than that to me. I love seeing all our listeners come to one place for a single Saturday afternoon. This is my highlight. A MASSIVE shout out to the best listeners in the world and we can't wait to see you this year at the Boise Music Festival!
