When my mom was visiting from Northeast Ohio a few weeks ago, the one thing that absolutely amazed her about Idaho was how high our gas prices are. It's such a necessity that I didn't really think about it until she said something!

A few years ago, I bought a Mazda 3 from Team Mazda and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.  The gas milage its incredible so I only have to fill up my tank about once a month.  I'll typically spend between $27-$29 for a fill up, so I can't even imagine what you're spending if you're a mom driving an SUV full of kiddos or a dad that's driving a truck big enough to haul this year's Christmas tree home!

That said, I'm here to save you some money! According to GasBuddy, the average gas price in Boise is $2.26, but there are several stations around the area that have gas under $2! The Costco stations in Boise and Nampa, plus the Sinclair at Ave D and W 3rd in Kuna has regular for $1.95 a gallon. Most Fred Meyer stations in Boise, Nampa and Meridian were are just a bit higher at $1.99 a gallon.

Keep up to date with the cheapest gas prices HERE. If you're planning to travel for the holidays, the good news is gas prices in the area are currently trending downward!
