An Award Winning Idaho Pizza Shop Will Be Competing In Italy Soon

An Idaho pizza place wrapped up a few days in Las Vegas as they attended the Pizza Expo, the world's largest pizza show! It's also just one of the three international competitions the Righteous Slice will compete in this spring and summer.

The Righteous Slice in Rexburg is familiar with pizza competitions, earning 2nd place in the Northwest Region in the International Pizza Challenge in 2021. They also acquired the Neapolitan, Classic Italian, and American style certificates from Tony Gemignani's International School of Pizza in 2021.

Co-owner Bill Crawford and two employees will now focus on the World Pizza Championship in Parma, Italy. The World Pizza Championship is celebrating 30 years with over 800 professionals worldwide from April 18th to the 20th to compete.

The Righteous Slice has been serving delicious pizza to its community and those traveling through Rexburg since 2018. Bill is also a business professor at the BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. He attended pizza school in 2012 and, early in his career, was a pilot for the U.S. Airforce, where he flew a Stealth Bomber.

Bill and a couple of employees will also be headed to the birthplace of pizza, Naples, for the World Pizza Championship this summer, and if you've ever wanted to have a great time with live music and all things pizza, then you should also think about a trip to the Pizza Village in Naples, Italy.
