People Are Roasting Idaho Sheriffs For Dismissing ICE Raid Rumors

One of the hottest topics in the country right now is the ICE raids taking place around the US. The operation was designed by the current administration to deport individuals in the country illegally, especially criminals.

Once again, rumors began to spread about mass deportations in Idaho... this time in Blaine County.

What could inspire people to leave scathing comments on BCSO's Facebook page? Apparently, it was a statement they made addressing rumors of ICE raids taking place in the area.

"In the past three weeks, multiple rumors have circulated about ICE conducting 'raids' in the area," BCSO said.

"On January 29, 2025, specific claims alleged that ICE was stationed outside public businesses, 'rounding up illegal immigrants.' These claims were completely unsubstantiated, with no evidence to support them. BCSO directly contacted ICE, who confirmed that no such operations had taken place in Blaine County, Idaho during this time."

BCSO also explained how a few "bad actors" could spread misinformation and use fear-mongering tactics to incite panic. BCSO then made it clear they would continue to protect the community regardless of immigration status.

"The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting all members of our community, regardless of immigration status. We will not allow fearmongering to undermine the trust we have built. We urge the public to help combat these harmful tactics by verifying information before sharing it."

Idahoans wasted no time in sharing their honest feelings about the statement.
