Idaho Woman Appears On One Of America’s Most Popular Gameshows

Some of us grew up at a time when game shows were all the rage. And everyone had their go-to, right? Some of us were Team Wheel of Fortune, some were all about Family Double Dare (remember that one?). But, one game show stands above them all and is known for its famous saying...

"COME ON DOWN! YOU'RE NEXT UP ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT!"

Those are the words an Idaho Falls woman heard when she appeared on the popular game show The Price Is Right. Catherine of Idaho Falls appeared on the May 8th episode of the game show.

Her first big moment came when she won the bidding round in which she guessed a value of $2,200 on scuba gear that had an actual retail value of $2,479 - way to go, Catherine!

She then had the opportunity to play a game known as the Shell Game for a chance to win a trip to Florida - great spot to use her scuba gear, right?

...she won the trip to Florida.

Next up for Catherine was a crack at that huge wheel contestants spin to see who can get the closest (or exactly) to a dollar. Catherine spun the wheel, and while we were all waiting to see if it landed on a dollar, host Drew Carey gave Catherine a chance to say hi to her mom, son, and grandkids Jackson and Lillian.

Catherine's first spin gave her 10 cents, so she was given another chance. Unfortunately, Catherine came up short and her time on Wheel of Fortune ended.

Still, Catherine was able to experience the dream of being a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, AND she still walked away with a trip to Florida to go with her awesome scuba gear. Congrats, Catherine!
