Every police department has its own style. And, when it comes to how they use social media, some departments like Nampa aren't afraid to throw a little humor in their posts.

Meridian police love sharing their involvement in the local community and honestly, who doesn't love an officer who can throw down some BBQ ribs? Just yesterday though, Kuna police showed us why they might be the most down-to-earth officers in the Treasure Valley.

"Look, we get it..."

Kuna police shared a post yesterday that shows what appear to be three underaged suspects going on a beer run at the Extra Mile Food Mart on Deer Flat.

In case you're wondering, a "beer run" for minors typically involves stealing a case and running out the door before anyone realizes what happened.

"On August 4, 2024, three unknown suspects stole six cases of alcoholic beverages from the Extra Mile Food Mart on Deer Flat. The subjects appear to be juveniles. They may have been driving a blue Scion TC."
What follows next has to be one of the most down-to-earth comments on the crime from Kuna police:
"Look, we get it – a beer run isn’t the crime of the century. However, we also know that juveniles under the influence don’t make the safest choices – and stealing isn't cool.
If you recognize any of these individuals, please call non-emergency dispatch at 208-377-6790, send us an email at acsofeedback@adacounty.id.gov, or send us a direct message."
Seriously! How many other departments will throw that out a "Look, we get it" before they've even identified the suspects? To us at least, this feels like a great reminder that police officers are human too.
There's probably even a good chance that some of our current officers pulled some rowdy stunts back in their youth too. If they didn't, they probably wouldn't "get it" in the first place.
Now, aside from their understanding, it is important to note that these underaged suspects still need to be identified and hopefully, they'll learn their lesson before they make a much more serious mistake.
Check out the post below and let's help our Kuna police close the book on this case.
