Utah & Idaho Brace For Trial Of Accused Charlie Kirk Killer

The death of Conservative activist Charlie Kirk continues to cause pain and suffering throughout America and the world. The young Mr. Kirk captivated a new generation of Conservatives, creating the powerhouse group Turning Point USA. The Conservative was such a dominant figure that many members of the current Trump Administration credited Charlie Kirk for their place in government.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination was akin to other tragic moments in American History, such as the assassination of President Kennedy, the space shuttles Challenger and Columbia tragedies, September 11th, and other events.

His death has caused many on the right to vow to take his place and carry on his mantle of outreach to young people.  Others have nefariously used his assassination to further their own online popularity by fueling irresponsible speculation.

Mr. Kirk, unlike many national political leaders visited our state several times. Kevin Miller had the opportunity to host two of the events featuring Charlie Kirk. You can see one of those events here. His last event in Idaho was one of his famous campus debates at Boise State University.

A Utah judge and jury will decide the fate of accused killer Tyler Robinson. A hearing took place Thursday as Judge Tony Kraf will decide media availability and other pretrial motions. Charlie's widow, Ericka Kirk, told Glenn Beck that the trial is years away. She asked everyone not to spread false allegations about Charlie's assassination.

Some said Mr. Robinson appeared to smirk during the hearing.
