After delivering a fantastic Sunday Service performance at the 2019 Coachella Music Festival last Sunday (April 21), Kanye West is reportedly looking to expand it on a permanent basis.

According to a story People published Thursday (April 25), Kanye is considering starting up his own church where he can present music and spirituality under one roof.

“He has talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be,” said an insider, who also made it clear that Kanye hasn't put together official plans for a church. “It wouldn’t be the traditional, 3-hymns-and-a-sermon thing. Instead, it would be a way to point people to Jesus through the arts and through a community of people who love and care for each other. He also wants his kids to be raised in faith, and the best way for him to do that is to live out his faith.”

The source also says Kanye's got intentions to assist people in need and that the rapper believes he can use music to do so.

“Say what you want about Kanye, but he really does want to help people who need support,” said the source. “He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people. He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness and their issues.”

Kanye's Easter Sunday Service performance was attended by celebrities like Kid Cudi, Chance The Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign and Tayana Taylor who all performed at the event. In addition, DMX delivered a fiery sermon to the reported 50,000 people in attendance. The insider told People that Kanye's performance was intentional and part of a bigger plan to have his own house of worship.

“He is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people,” said the source. “He spends a lot of time studying and praying, and wants to share his journey.”
