Live for 175 has officially kicked off at The Village At Meridian. This, the 11th year is a "throwback year" in a sense. You see, when the event started, the goal was to keep Keke Luv awake for 175 hours. As the years progressed, the event evolved into what it is today. Over 3000 listeners in the community are expected to come down and help "cycle to break the cycle" of abuse by jumping on a stationary exercise bicycle supplied by Idaho Mountian Touring. When the bike is pedaled power is generated, that power is used to run the broadcast for the entire week of 175 hours.

The whole concept seems pretty crazy. But how does it work? How can power generated from pedaling a bike power an entire radio station? It's a pretty amazing feat and wholly designed and build here in Boise Idaho.

Take a look at the video below as Lucky, and Lee run down how the technology of Live For 175 works.
