Idaho NFL Star Makes Time for Fans Who Drove to See Him

When it comes to stars from Idaho--there are a few that we've just grown used to seeing around town as they come back to visit.

Bruce Willis for years has called Idaho a vacation escape. While he wasn't from here--he was an Idaho favorite.

In recent years, the likes of Bad Bunny and the entire Kardashian family have discovered North Idaho and the resorts and escapes that are up there--away from it all. Could these folks count as honorary Idahoans?

Then, of course, there's Idaho's own Aaron Paul who can never return to town without sparking a frenzy over the fan love.

Who else comes to mind?

How about an Idaho born and raised NFL player that just happens to now be a household name across America and is playing for a team in the nation's second largest city?

It was a true Idaho party at SoFi Stadium recently as an Idaho family traveled down JUST to see Scott Matlock, a player for the Chargers.

Did we mention that Kellen Moore was once on his coaching staff? Being a Defensive Lineman, there was probably limited overlap with Kellen--but it was a strong Bronco connection, nonetheless.

If you didn't know this, Scott Matlock is actually from Idaho--he didn't just play in Idaho because of his Boise State affiliation. Home for Matlock, believe it or not, is tiny little Homedale, Idaho where the population is barely 3,000 people!

We loved seeing Matlock remain true to this young Idaho fan!

He is a widely recognized name in the NFL...and not long ago, he had been golfing in Boise!
