We have an official E. coli alert that can impact where you swim and recreate this 4th of July weekend.

Pre-chopped romaine lettuce is part of a huge recall right now over fears about E.coli, and a handful of people in Idaho are among those who have fallen ill after eating it. The package in your fridge will list one specific growing area that's the big concern.

High levels of E. coli were discovered in numerous bodies of water in Boise. If you think you've contracted the bacteria, you're going to want to do something about it.

In early August, five private wells in Nampa tested positive for E. coli.  Further tests have found the bacteria in more wells.
