Two weeks ago when I tried to go for a day trip I was disappointed that they were still closed but according to their website Gold Forks Hot Springs will be reopening

After weeks of silence we finally have an answer and not everyone is happy about it.

Do you remember the last time you had a three day weekend and you basically wasted it?

A few months ago, one of my friends posted pictures from her girls' weekend on Instagram and it looked like she was at some fancy, five star resort. After reading the hashtags on her post, I realized she wasn't that far from the Treasure Valley!

Since 2008, the Bureau of Land Management has looked into 137 negative incidents in the popular hot springs destination.  Beginning Tuesday, the pools could be closed for at least five years.

If you love our local Idaho hot springs, you may be able to enjoy Skinny Dipper a little bit longer than expected! Despite the local hot springs announcing their closing last year due to concerns about human health, safety and the degradation of nature around the hot springs, local groups have filed appeals and proposals in order to keep the local hot spot open...
