Health officials warn of the disease carrying mosquitos

I just read this quote and it caught my attention, "West Nile is here to stay in Idaho." They just found more cases in Boise and one in Kuna. Check the mosquito map for exact locations and some ways to "fight the bite."

In three different traps collected just last weekend in Canyon County, mosquitoes have tested positive for the West Nile virus. One location was near Nampa-Caldwell Blvd and Karcher Road.

All that talk of the mosquitoes populating at a rapid rate and the "threat" of the West Nile Virus from the multiplying mosquitoes has now hit home. Mosquitoes along the Boise River have tested positive for the virus. This is what you need to know.

First we worry about diseases from ticks. Now, the West Nile virus has been found in an Eastern Idaho mosquito. With flooding comes mosquitoes. This is why we need to pay attention.
