This year's "fire season" has seemed a lot more real as there has been an active fire within the Treasure Valley since before the fourth of July. Yesterday, a new fire started and has made it difficult to take in a full breath because the air is so thick.

Yesterday (Sunday), a fire started near the airport at Diamond Street Recycling. Though it creates some amazing sunrises, the air is heavy with smoke from this fire. Boise Fire Department says the fire started in a large pile of tree branches and other debris.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation as we watch the fire continue to smolder and smoke. The fire is reportedly contained, however.
