Anyone who came to Summer Splash at Roaring Springs knows I'm slightly terrified of the Corkscrew Cavern and Cliffhanger after riding them once because I said I would. This water slide though?  Oh...hell...no!

Meet Verruckt (German for insane,) the tallest water slide in the world.  It's a little over 168 feet or 17 stories tall.  How tall is that exactly?  The Corkscrew and Cliffhanger at Roaring Springs are 6 stores tall for comparison.  Verruckt is also TALLER than Niagra Falls.  It takes a march of 264 stairs to get you to the top of the first 60º drop.  Once you're up there, they'll strap you and three of your friends in with velcro seat belts before sending you down the first hill at 65 mph, up over another hill and to the end.  The whole slide is just a little over two football fields in length, but lasts just 18 seconds.

After watching the guys from Xtreme Waterparks test a version that was only half the size and checking out a Go-Pro type video of the actual slide, I've decided this slide is NOT on my bucket list.  You can get me on any roller coaster that's attached to the track, but this thing where there's 3 seconds of hang time?  NO WAY!  Watch the video and tell us what you think...
