Every morning for over a month, the outdoors has smelled like a campfire and the sight of a clear sky hasn't been a real thing since before the fourth of July. The fire has grown overnight and now weather conditions are hindering containment.

Last night, the Pioneer Fire grew over 2,000 Saturday into Sunday. According to KTVB.com:

Hot, dry conditions and challenging terrain are making the fire difficult for firefighters. As of Sunday afternoon, the fire was 40 percent contained.

There are closures but they continue to change and update. All closures can be found HERE.

The fire is so large, it's taking nearly 1/3 of the nations resources. That's how many people are here to help contain this fire and clear up the Treasure Valley skies.

Thank you to every single firefighter, land and resource crew members, media relations and the families who's home lives have been rearranged because of these fires. It's a long, hot, exhausting job and we appreciate every single one of you (including those who haven't been named).
