Uber just launched in Boise and has served many of us after a late night with friends and we didn't pay a thing for it. That service, for the time being, is over. Womp womp. Here's what happened:

It's all about rules and agreements. In October 2014, Uber was welcomed into Boise. The rideshare service couldn't charge passengers due to the fact that there's no legal framework to conduct business in the city.

Layman's terms: Can't charge if you're not following the rules.

The rules are being worked on right now (and have been for months). In the meantime, the service has been suspended and we're back to walking or losing a paycheck on a cab.
