Well, that's a surprise. I'm not taking shots at Boise because I was married in the area but I didn't see this one coming.

Boise just named one of the top 10 most popular places to say your vows. Getting married must be a trendy thing to do Idaho.

According to Wallethub which publishes several types of rankings each year and it looks like Wallethub loves Boise, Idaho. Why is this? Boise gets a ton of attention and that seems to be the trend we rebounded from the recession. That shouldn't be a surprise especially with the thousands moving into the area each month.

Boise continues to dominate all the lists including livability, low crime rates, cost of living, schools and now getting married. I was just talking to someone who mentioned their 700 square foot loft in California for $2500 a month 😳I can't even imagine. Then again I would be broke so it wouldn't matter.

There's no doubt all of these factors contribute to a great place for that final cherry on top, marriage. I started late but met my wife in the Albertsons on Broadway and never looked back. We got married here and everyone lives all over from Boise to Oakley. I'm originally from Texas where all my family resides.

This list takes into consideration the affordable wedding planners, bridal shops, venues, and events. Add the other rankings into the mix and Boise comes in at #8. Here's where everyone else ranked.

  1. Orlando, Florida
  2. Las Vegas, Nevada
  3. El Paso, Texas
  4. Atlanta, Georgia
  5. Miami, Florida
  6. Tampa, Florida
  7. Tulsa, Oklahoma
  8. Boise, Idaho
  9. Las Cruces, New Mexico
