Juvenile and Teen Killed in Idaho Rollover Accident Into Snake River

A pickup truck accident in Eastern Idaho has claimed the lives of two young occupants after the truck left the road and landed upside down in the Snake River.

The incident received response from half a dozen teams of emergency responders on Saturday morning, including the Idaho State Police and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Dive Team.

Teen Driver and Juvenile Passenger Killed in Rollover Accident in Idaho

The ISP news release shared the details of the crash. The accident was a single-vehicle rollover crash on Twin Butte Road, near the town of Menan, that happened on October 10th at 7:10 AM.

A 2018 Ford F350, driven by an 18-year-old from Rigby, and a juvenile passenger from Idaho Falls, was driving southbound on Twin Butte Rd near the Menan Bridge.

The Ford F350 left the road, hit an embankment, and landed upside down in the Snake River.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Dive Team responded to the scene to assist the ISP, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Rigby Police Department, and Central Fire Department.

Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, the teen driver and juvenile passenger passed away at the scene of the accident.

This was the second juvenile passenger killed in an Idaho road accident in the last week.

A child was pronounced dead after a vehicle towing a trailer caught fire. The two adult passengers in the truck were taken to the hospital with injuries from the vehicle fire.

Both accidents are being investigated by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho Accident Updated to Fatal 3 Days After Crash

The Idaho State Police also shared an update on a serious injury accident that had happened on October 5th, near Cataldo.

An 85-year-old female driver was injured in the accident when a pickup truck, driven by a 68-year-old male, crashed into the back of the car driven by the 85-year-old. The woman was taken to a local hospital by Life Flight.

The female driver passed away on October 8th.
