This New Waterslide is Ready for Roaring Springs’ Opening Day in May
Weather permitting, Idaho’s Roaring Springs will be open on weekends beginning in early May, weeks before Memorial Day. The waterpark has big plans this year, including the first public runs of a brand new waterslide.
Roaring Springs is currently working through 7 phases of expansion, increasing the park by 40% with new slides, attractions, food, and parking. The new waterslide is part of Phase 2 at the park.

Roaring Springs is advertising May 9th as their first day open in 2026, as long as the weather cooperates. The park will be open on weekends until the Friday before Memorial Day, when it will officially open 7 days a week through August. Hours for the first three weekends will be from 11 AM to 7 PM. Then, beginning on May 30th, hours will change to 11AM to 8PM.
Roaring Springs being close to opening is exciting, but the most exciting thing is that the new waterslide, The Hive, will be ready on opening day. The Heist waterslide will open at a later date and is still listed as part of Phase 2. Roaring Springs shared a bees-eye-view (because it’s The Hive) of the new waterslide: check that out below.

The Roaring Springs website says the following about The Hive: Get ready for thrilling g-forces on two epic double-looping (720 degrees) hives, and immersive translucent effects.
When The Heist opens at a later date, it will feature two giant funnels, wave-shaped walls, fast-sweeping oscillations, and zero gravity moments.
