According to Healthline, cases of Norovirus are surging in the country right now. Reports have been widespread and health officials are urging Americans to do everything they can to help stop the spread of the virus that is spread through contaminated surfaces, unclean hands, water, and food, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Exposure through holiday travel and family gatherings are cause for concern. Symptoms of Norovirus include stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, according to Healthline.

If you or a family member shows symptoms you believe to be Norovirus, schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider sooner than later, or visit an area quick care facility to get tested and treated.
