Taylor Swift is headed to the big screen — a place she knows all too well.

Swift is featured in the newly released trailer for David O. Russell’s murder mystery movie, Amsterdam. In one fleeting moment from the trailer, it looks like the pop star bites the dust after getting pushed into traffic. But who does she play in the movie? And does her character really die?

Starring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington and more, Amsterdam hits theaters Friday, Oct. 7.

Below, here's what we know about the fate of Swift's character in the film.

Who Does Taylor Swift Play in Amsterdam?

Taylor Swift reportedly plays the morning daughter of a prominent man who has been murdered. As of reporting, little else is known about Swift's role in the flick.

The characters played by Bale, Washington and Robbie are accused of the murder of the man at the center of the film's mystery. The grisly murder leads them on a journey to uncover the true assailant.

Does Taylor Swift's Character Die in Amsterdam?

In the new trailer for the movie — see below! — Swift's character can be seen running up to Bale and Washington's characters. Set in the 1930s, the streets are bustling with cars and noise.

"Is somebody watching me?" she asks the two men.

"I don’t know if I can talk about this," she continues with a concerned look on her face.

Suddenly, the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer gets pushed into the street by a mysterious character. Not much else is seen or heard besides her screaming and the sound of a car horn blaring in the background. While not explicitly said, it's implied she's struck by a moving vehicle.
