If there is one thing that Boise residents seem to LOVE bragging about, it's our beloved downtown area. Certainly, residents have a point. Downtown Boise is full of local businesses--of all kinds. Day and nite, there are options for food, business dealings, drinks, movies, and more.
Getting in and out of downtown Boise? Easy!
Parking in downtown Boise? Well...depending on the day, that can certainly be a challenge!
Depending on how you look at it, 'changes' are coming to parking in downtown Boise and we have the scoop.

Brace For Change: Parking In Downtown Boise Is Getting Tweaks

What are your thoughts on the changes?
Are any of these changes really that significant? Not particularly.
We can appreciate that Sunday's will remain free to park at metered spots in downtown Boise.
We can also appreciate that on Saturday's, meters and patrols will start a bit later--often times, after a 'fun' night out in downtown Boise on a Friday, cars will be left overnight--which is the RIGHT thing to do.
In a statement published by the City of Boise, Tyler Johnson, the Code and Community Resources Senior Manager for Parking Services said:
We are promoting a better utilization of our limited parking downtown. As a result of these changes, we expect to see more short term parking availability and better traffic flow, making the experience of visiting downtown a better one.
