4 Things To Know About BMF Artist The Band Perry
You probably know their song "If I Die Young", so are you ready to see them light up the Boise Music Festival Stage June 24th?
Here's four things to know about the BMF country trio The Band Perry:
#4 - It's All In The Family
Do you know why they're called "The Band Perry"? Because that's their last name! The band consists of real life siblings Kimberly Perry, Reid Perry, and Neil Perry. The siblings have been performing together as a band since 2005.
#3 - The Crossover
TBP first got big time exposure with their song "If I Die Young" in June 2010. While it performed fantastically on country radio, the band also had some success with the song in the pop world. "If I Die Young" hit #36 at it's peak on the pop charts, a feat pretty rare for a country act to achieve.
#2 - Rick Rolled
On their second album Pioneer, The Band Perry recruited help from legendary music producer Rick Rubin. Rubin has produced for some of the biggest acts in music, including The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Kanye West, Slipknot, Metallica, and Lady Gaga.
#1 - Dirty Pop
In February, the band announced they're working on their next album titled My Bad Imagination. Surprisingly, it'll be a strictly pop album! So could this mean you'll be hearing The Band Perry on 103.5 KISS FM? We'll see...
