93 DAYS IN JAIL FOR NOT RETURNING A BOOK?!

There are many reasons why people go to jail and most of them are justified but then there are things that don't make any sense whatsoever like catching a certain fish in the wrong season, In some states this will land you in jail just ask Lyle Dewitt from Ionia, Michigan. How about gong to jail for being truant at school? In Texas if you miss more than 10 days of school in a 6 month period they will issue a warrant for your arrest. According to WILX-TV Melinda Sanders faces up to 93 days in jail for failing to return two overdue library books. What!!!!!!! Apparently while her boss was doing a background check for a possible promotion she found out that there was a warrant for Sanders arrest. The crime, failure to return rental property has a sentence of 93 days and a fine of $500. To make matters worse Sanders can't work until the case is resolved and that can go on for months. It's safe to say that the promotion is most likely out of the questions at this point.

The moral of the story is that it's not necessarily the crime but the warrant that most people aren't aware of that will land you in jail.
