Boise Beyhive: THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

Ever since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with Jay-Z. I have no idea WHY beyond the fact that his music has always been my favorite. I've always respected his business mentality and the legacy behind the iconic figure that his has become. Of course, Jay Z can't just marry anyone--he married the QUEEN and these two are easily the biggest power couple in the music industry today.

Speaking of that superstar wife of his? Her name is Beyonce...ever hear of her?

Obviously you have and if there is one fan base that I know to be loyal to their queen...it's the Beyhive. I know for a fact that there are PLENTY of Beyonce fanatics here in Boise and if you're like "yeah, Mateo-- that's me...what about it?" well, there's a party coming to downtown Boise made just for you.

Amsterdam Lounge, one of my favorite spots in downtown Boise, throws some pretty great throwback parties. Most recently, you may recognize the Elton John party they threw--or even the Brittney Spears bash? Well it's Beyonce's time to shine on at this trendy lounge on Main Street.

Thursday, September 5th, celebrate Bey Day with Amsterdam Lounge. There will be a Queen Bey costume contest, specialty cocktails, and  more waiting for you on this specially themed event. Of course, the playlist will be ALL about Beyonce this night and lucky for me, Jay Z is in a lot of those songs!
