Ada County Voters Can Watch Their Ballots Be Counted Online
It is the most...contentious time of the year? We aren't sure what to call 'Election Season' but even the most politically engaged or interested can't really love this time of year, right?
Annoying texts sent to your phone about people you've never met, aggressive attack ads on every tv channel and streaming platform, and don't get us started on all of the street corner clutter made up of signs from folks running for office.
Election season is indeed in full swing here in Idaho--but, it's about to be over.
Today, November 5th, is Election Day.
Voters from all over the Treasure Valley are flocking to their polling locations to cast their votes not only for president, but for local initiatives and offices as well.
There is a lot of rhetoric out there that suggests the election is 'rigged'--but there is also a real lack of proof that any of that rhetoric is real. Regardless of your concerns around election integrity in Ada County, we're lucky that our local officials are taking extra steps to ensure people can trust the system here.
Check out for example, the video below, which is a live stream of one of the many site that will be handling ballots in Ada County!
That video above is just one example of what anyone online can watch.
The Ada County Elections Office has live webcams on 13 different locations across the county--all of which will be handling ballots.
