It's almost summer in The Treasure Valley and that means a ton of things to do outdoors.  One of the options this summer is a series of outdoor concerts downtown, called Alive After Five.  It's the 33rd year for the  free concert series put on by the Downtown Boise Association, with the goal of getting more people out downtown after working hours.

Previously the Downtown Boise Association announced the opener for the concert series on Wednesday June 5th.  Enjoy, The Band of Heathens, with starting act Reed Foehl.  You can catch the free live performances from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Grove Plaza.  Today, the Downtown Boise Association announced more acts through June 26th.  The concert series runs through August 28th.

If you're not familiar with Downtown Boise and what they do, you can find a list of other events the organization sponsors. First Thursday's,.Father's Day Car Show and Capitol Table are just a few.

If your'e looking for other great events to do in the downtown area you can check out a more comprehensive list of other events. You'll find a lot of different things, from how to prevent your dogs and cats from getting skunked to arts and crafts.

Enjoy downtown after hours this summer, especially since it doesn't get dark until really late!
