Andy Grammer has certainly come a long way from his days of busking on the streets of Santa Monica. First performing at the Boise Music Festival in 2009, Grammer arrived in Boise with just the clothes he was wearing and his guitar in hand. In 2010 he was signed to S-Curve Records and later that year he released his hit single ‘Keep Your Head Up’, which went platinum and remains his most popular song to date.

After a day of performing in Santa Monica on the Third Street Promenade without selling any CDs, Grammer told himself to keep his head up, and that’s how his smash hit single came about. A Los Angeles native, Grammer was raised in New York but returned to California after high school and earned a bachelor's degree in Music Industry Studies at California State University.

After working several unique jobs such as a valet and a cook at McDonalds, he was eventually discovered by artist manager Ben Singer in 2009. Grammer's dad is Red Grammer, a Grammy-nominated children's music artist. The music video for his hit single 'Keep Your Head Up' starred 'The Office' star Rainn Wilson, who Grammer met through a former roommate. Grammer has toured with such big acts like Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran, just to name a couple.

In 2011, Billboard Magazine and the New York Post named Grammer as one of the ten artists to watch. Grammer has performed onstage with artists such as Taylor Swift, Train and Colbie Caillat. He released his sophomore album 'Magazines or Novels' in 2014 and his single 'Back Home' has become his latest hit to gain mainstream radio play. Mixing together a variety of different genres such as pop, soul and rock, Grammer has established himself as one of the most important singer-songwriters of his generation and continues to wow critics and fans alike with his music. Grammer is coming back to the Boise Music Festival to perform on the Main Stage at 2:40 PM on June 25! He'll also be celebrating his anniversary that day with his wife Aijia Lise, who he's been married to since 2012.
