Ariana Grande’s Fans Are Boycotting ‘7 Rings’ and the Reason Might Surprise You
Today in super weird news, Ariana Grande's fans are boycotting her single "7 Rings."
For the last week, Arianators have been tweeting the hashtag #BOYCOTT7RINGS, but it's not for the reason you might think. Though it's super random and a little insulting, fans aren't boycotting the song because they don't like it.
They're doing it so that Grande's new song "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" can reach the top spot on the charts. If we all stop listening to "7 Rings, it'll give her latest single room to reach No. 1. Also, if "buwygib" debuts at the top, Grande will reportedly make history as the first U.S. artist to have three singles in a row to top the charts.
"y’all are so insane and funny and i love u. nothings funnier than ‘boycott seven rings," Grande tweeted in response to the trending hashtag. "i can’t lmao. whatever’s meant to be will be, babies i ain’t goin nowhere #thankunext"
Then, when a fan asked her to join in on the boycott, her reaction was priceless:
It's extremely safe to say Arianators are the most intense fandom EVER. Check out some of the best #BOYCOTT7RINGS tweets below:
