Maybe you're not a fan of Beyoncé, and this story may have passed you by, and that's okay. We're not here to tell you who you should or shouldn't listen to.

However, many fans are saying what's happening between the global superstar and the Country Music Awards is completely unfair. Any fan of music should be paying attention.

Recently, Beyoncé released her first country album, Cowboy Carter, and it immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200. To put it lightly, Beyoncé sold a lot of copies of her latest album. Also, she had numerous songs off the album getting plenty of airplay on radio, and high streaming numbers.

Was that enough for the CMAs to nominate Beyoncé for any award? Nope. Sure wasn't. The CMAs posted their most recent nominations, and Bey was nowhere to be found.

Now, we can't read minds, but we're guessing Idahoans are going to be divided on this one. On one side, Beyoncé fans who believe that if she had a best-selling country album, she should be considered for the CMAs. On the other, music purists who believe Beyoncé "ain't country" and Cowboy Carter should in no way be under consideration for any CMA awards.

What do you think? Are the CMAs pulling a fast one on Beyoncé and the Beyhive, or are they justified in their decision?
