Today on #BlackoutTuesday we decided to share our platform with all who wanted to share their perspective on the air and on our social media. It only makes sense that we use our website to inform our listeners and pass along details of this peaceful candle lit vigil that is taking place tonight at the Capitol. Today is about hearing each other out and gaining a new understanding for the challenges that our country faces. Here are some details from the organizers facebook page for tonights event.

The community is invited to attend a peaceful sunset candlelight vigil to mourn the lives of Black Americans lost at the hands of police and fellow citizens. To start there will be words from the organizers and a spoken word rendition, this will be followed by 25 minutes of silence with the names of lives lost spoken every 15 seconds.

IMPORTANT: This event is a vigil, it IS NOT a protest, riot or rally. We will not be moving or mobilizing from the capitol steps area at any point.
