Idaho’s Bogus Basin Just Dropped the Best Kind of Winter Update

'Winter, is that you!?'

That's how Boise's beloved Bogus Basin opened up their Facebook post last year after a long period of NO snow...and the eventual 'dump' of snow in January!

No snow? That's hardly the fault of Bogus Basin.

Weather last winter had been record-breaking in terms of a LACK of snowfall and temperatures being as warm as they were. Making snow was hardly even been an option for the local ski hill.

The snow bunnies getting grumpy online? They get it too--it's all an act of God--or perhaps, a lack thereof. Everyone is just anxious to get on the slopes in 2026 especially after a dry 2025.

The United States National Weather Service in Boise shared some photos from a dusting of snow that blessed Bogus Basin over the weekend!

Look, we get it, the snow that fell was just a dusting and it is nowhere near what skiers and snowboarders are going to need in order to enjoy the slopes. But we have to partake in the enthusiasm of local 'snow bunnies'--after a DRY winter in 2025, every single snow flake is going to count this year.
