There's something special about that favorite food destination where you can enjoy your favorite eats, oftentimes, with your favorite people.

A staple here in Boise that has become a Boise treasure will be going away for good--in fact, since their sudden announcement over the weekend, the restaurant is indeed now gone.

The announcement for closure came suddenly--on Facebook, from restaurant management. They shared that it 'has to end this way' and asked folks to continue following them, in the chance they ever pop back up again.

With more more day of business, the restaurant saw tons of support over the long weekend. They then shared a heartfelt message:

After 45 years of serving food and sharing memories with this wonderful community, today we say goodbye. This will be our final day open, and we will be here until the food runs out.

Our family is deeply grateful for the love, loyalty, and support you have shown us over the decades. What started as a dream became a home filled with laughter, celebrations, and countless meals shared together. We have watched families grow, friendships blossom, and traditions carry on at our tables. Those memories will stay in our hearts forever.
Although it is hard to close this chapter, we want you to know how much every visit, every smile, and every kind word has meant to us. You are more than customers—you have become family.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you for 45 incredible years. We hope that one day we will find a new home to continue our story, but until then, please join us today as we serve our final meals.

It's clear that ownership is just as sad as the community to have to close--and we're wishing the best to the Great Wall family!
