Boise Foodie Frenzy: Barbacoa’s New Concept Has Grand Opening Date

Foodies in the Treasure Valley have been on a roller coaster this year.

For many, a lot of local favorite restaurants and bars closed for good. Spots with cult-like followings, such as Zee's Rooftop, Hong Kong in Nampa, or Wepa in Garden City shut their doors and disappeared from our dining options.

On the other hand--lots of new spots have opened up.

One LOCAL restaurant, known for elevated experiences and delicious food and drink has announced there's an expansion coming--a fusion of two fun brands--giving everyone hope for new LOCAL flavor.

Announced on Instagram this past Fall was 'Coa Cantina', a fusion of the wildly popular 'Barbacoa' here in Boise and locally owned Sushi Shack!

Now, we know that 'Coa Cantina' is very much on the way, as a Grand Opening Date has been revealed!

Just announced online--Coa Cantina will be opening up on February 7th at Noon!

The new concept is going into Southeast Boise's Harris Ranch neighborhood--right next to Sushi Shack and The STILL!

We spoke with the team behind Coa Cantina and learned that the restaurant will be ope 7-days a week, 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
