Boise is known to have some of the best locally owned establishments. It's part of the reason everyone loves living in Boise. Sadly, they don't always last and especially this year we've seen restaurants, cafes, and bars all closing around us.

It's always sad to see a local favorite close and now another bar has announced they will be closing.

It's absolutely heartbreaking to hear that the great Eastside Tavern will be closing. We can't believe that after 15 years they have finally decided to close their doors. This bar was huge amongst college kids, especially on Thursday nights.

For years everyone would go to Eastside Tavern in hopes of having a great night with friends, singing karaoke, or listening to live bands play. This will definitely be a tough loss for everyone who has spent their years enjoying a drink or 2 at this awesome bar.

The only bright side about the bar announcing their closure is that they will at least be staying open a little longer before closing the doors forever. The bar, while popular with everyone, is especially known for their Thursday nights when tons of college kids come to hang out. That being said, they are waiting until the end of the school year to officially close. This means that until May of 2026 the bar will still be open for everyone to come enjoy it one last time!
